Grew up in Eastern Canada, and currently living, training, and working in Toronto. I've been an Aerialist since 2012, but a mover my whole life. Since high school I have been passionate about dance, theatre, performing arts, and movement of any kind. I primarily train on aerial silks, but have dabbled in static trapeze, lyra, and pole fitness.
I am trying to prove that you don't need to be a former gymnast, professional dancer, or have trained in circus/contortion your entire life to make real progress in this art form. I love circus, and especially aerial arts as it is accessible for everybody and every body. I have seen beautiful aerialists who happen to have physical disabilities. Iv'e seen circus do amazing things for at-risk youth, especially LGBTQIA youth. You can be of any shape, size, or ethnicity and circus will welcome you with open arms.
I have experience coaching all ages ranging from very young children to middle aged adults. I have come a very long way in a short period and have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in aerial dance however I still have a very long way to go and I know I will always be growing, learning, changing, adapting, and getting stronger.
I am currently coaching once a week at Cirque-Ability in Toronto. I am really interested in ROM conditioning and will be studying/researching, and writing a lot about that on this blog. Please follow, share, and leave feedback so I can keep making this site better!
